Great points, Chris.

Of course, that's another reason we like Yahoo Buzz over Digg. We still Digg our own blog posts because we want the SEO benefits, though with so much gaming of Google going on at Digg, we like the integrity of Yahoo Buzz.

For readers interested in the power of social bookmarking and its legitimate benefits of cutting through the crap, Yahoo Buzz will deliver them the most bang for their buck.

The reason Digg is so popular amongst bloggers is the outgoing link in a Digg post is fully followed which means it passes on link juice to the parent blog post.

Yahoo Buzz uses nofollow in the links which tells Google not to pass on any worth in the link to the parent post in Google rankings. It is also not looking to become the spamfest that Digg is either over links.

Yahoo Buzz with it's nofollow links will never have the value to me that Digg does as a blogger. 200+ plus Diggs will drive me to the top of the search term my blog post targeted. Yahoo Buzz, not so much.
