More Genius than Einstein…

…and even simpler than any of the six formulae introduced in the last lesson.

I once heard another success formula presented as advice that was even less complicated than Einstein’s. In just a couple of sentences, this advice summed up the best way for anyone (especially a new hire) to rise above and achieve workplace success.

The advice: “Look to your left and look to your right. Now, resolve to flat outwork those other two guys.”

I remember hearing those words out loud more than twenty years ago; and almost every day since in my head. Even running my own business, I am constantly looking at the examples of others and resolving to “flat outwork those other two guys.”

So far, this advice has never failed me. If you “flat outwork” those on your left and right, I guarantee it will never fail you either.
