Wrap One’s Head Around

Physically impossible and impossibly annoying. This one is just hard to wrap our heads around.

To truly wrap your head around something would mean you were likely in a fatal car crash. And while we are assuming our annoying manager was referring to understanding something, we can never be so sure with this jerk.

The worst part about this irritating phrase is that it’s most often used when discussing an uncomplicated matter. Additionally, it’s sometimes a weak manager’s way to tell you your idea sucks.

“Yeah… I just can’t wrap my head around that one.”

Translation: “I’m a small-minded jerk who doesn’t want to listen to any ideas that did not hatch from my pea brain.”

Regardless of the meaning, it’s always annoying, nonetheless; and sadly, there are times a fatal car crash might feel like a better place to be than in another mind-numbing meeting with this  annoying manager.

Replacement phrases: Understand – it’s shorter, quicker, and way less annoying.
